CLUTCH LEVER PLUNGER PIN REMOVAL?

Is there some mystical way of removing the clutch plunger pin from the lever?
I have located a slot screw but for the love of beelzebub it will not shift,i think its been stuck in with dried weetabix!!!!

Should be as simple as undoing the locknut (underneath) and then pulling pin out from the top.

The locknut will not budge!
I`ve given up at the moment but i will be giving it another go at some point.I`ts the usual,little things that are such a pain in the proverbial!!!!!

Spray liberally with penetrating fluid and leave for a day
