- 2019 season begins at Silverstone circuit

- 10th consecutive year of the championship
The opening round of the Ducati Performance TriOptions Cup takes place at Silverstone circuit, the home of Ducati UK, from the 19th to 21st April. The Ducati Cup, now in its tenth consecutive year, will again be a support series for the British Superbike Championship, featuring at 8 of its 12 rounds, with a total of 16 races throughout the season. The championship features exclusively the 959 Panigale. The twin cylinder Panigale incorporates a 157hp, 955cc Superquadro and benefits from Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Riding Mode technology including Ride-by-Wire, triple-stage Bosch ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC). Limited changes to the standard motorcycle are allowed and this has encouraged close racing, relative affordability and enduring popularity amongst both riders and spectators over the last ten years. The high quality and competitiveness of the field has led to riders stepping successfully up to other classes. 2017 Ducati Performance TriOptions Cup champion, Joe Collier successfully competed in this year’s 2018 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship, finishing a creditable third. The Ducati Cup will again be sponsored by Ducati TriOptions, the brand name for Ducati Personal Contract Purchase https://www.ducatitrioptions.com/ Ducati Performance is the brand name for promoting official Ducati accessories many of which will be seen on the bikes racing on track and are also available to purchase through the Ducati dealer network https://www.ducati.com The 2019 Ducati Performance TriOptions calendar is: 19,20,21 April Silverstone (National) 4,5,6 May Oulton Park (International) 24,25,26 May Donington Park (National) 14,15,16 June Brands Hatch (GP) 19,20,21 July Snetterton (300) 16,17,18 Aug Cadwell Park 20,21,22 Sept Assen 4,5,6 Oct Donington Park (GP) Details regarding the 2019 rider package and the new prize fund will be released in due course, for further information about the joining the series visit: www.ducatitrioptionscup.com or email Steve Plater, series ambassador at steve@steveplater.com For entry enquiries please contact BSB Administrator Clare Coombes on (01474) 875296 or email bsb@msvracing.co.uk For further information about the 959 Panigale visit: https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/bikes/panigale/959-panigale |
